Thailand and China are deepening bilateral cooperation in the fields of digital economy, green economy, and silver economy, further strengthening industrial and investment collaboration between the two countries and creating new opportunities for ASEAN’s manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.

During the APEC Trade Ministers’ Meeting held in Suzhou on May 24, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce held bilateral discussions with China’s Vice Premier He Lifeng. Both sides emphasized cooperation in smart manufacturing, high-value product development, modern supply chains, and regional production networks.

Thailand highlighted its intention to promote more high-quality and value-added products for the Chinese and global markets through technology and innovation cooperation. The discussions also covered support for advanced industries, including electric vehicles, robotics, and integrated supply chain investment.

China reaffirmed its support for investment expansion in Thailand, while both countries agreed to establish working groups to accelerate practical cooperation and revive bilateral economic and trade mechanisms that had been suspended for more than eight years.

As Thailand continues strengthening its position as a strategic manufacturing and export hub in ASEAN, the regional market is expected to see growing demand for:
• Energy-efficient HVAC systems
• Smart building technologies
• Data center cooling infrastructure
• Cleanroom and controlled environment solutions
The rapid expansion of digital infrastructure, AI-driven industries, and smart manufacturing across Southeast Asia is accelerating the need for sustainable climate control and environmental management technologies.
For international companies seeking opportunities in ASEAN, Thailand remains one of the region’s most important gateways for industrial development, investment expansion, and regional supply chain integration.
