Thailand and France Deepen Strategic Cooperation in AI Infrastructure, Clean Energy and High-Value Industries

Date:2026-05-27

Thailand and France have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and future-oriented industries following high-level discussions held in Paris on May 25.

According to Thai government officials, both sides highlighted opportunities in clean energy, aerospace, smart grid technologies, AI infrastructure and data centers — sectors expected to play a major role in the next phase of ASEAN’s industrial and digital transformation.

Thailand also reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating negotiations for the Thailand–European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA), with the goal of concluding talks within 2026. The agreement is expected to further enhance Thailand’s attractiveness as a regional manufacturing and investment hub for European companies.

As AI economy development, smart cities and digital infrastructure projects continue expanding across ASEAN, demand is also expected to rise for:
• Energy-efficient HVAC systems
• Data center cooling technologies
• Smart building solutions
• Cleanroom and controlled environment systems

The latest Thailand–France cooperation signals growing international confidence in Thailand’s position as a strategic gateway to ASEAN’s next-generation industrial development.
