Haier Smart Home has officially broken ground on its new AI Intelligent Manufacturing Base for commercial air conditioners in Rayong, Thailand — set to become the largest commercial AC production base in ASEAN and the world’s first AI intelligent factory dedicated to commercial HVAC manufacturing.

Located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), near Laem Chabang Port, the new smart factory will support exports across Southeast Asia, Europe and North America, strengthening Thailand’s role in the global HVAC supply chain.

Driven by rapid growth in urban development, hospitality, industrial parks, data centres and the AI economy, demand for commercial HVAC solutions in ASEAN is expected to reach 220,000 units by 2030.

The factory will feature:
• More than 65% automation
• AI-powered quality control and manufacturing systems
• Smart logistics systems
• An integrated R&D center focused on tropical HVAC solutions for Southeast Asia

Product solutions will include chillers, VRF systems, commercial ACs and data center cooling systems — supporting the fast-growing digital infrastructure sector in ASEAN.

The project further highlights how Thailand continues attracting major investments in smart manufacturing, green cooling technologies and next-generation HVAC innovation.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
