In 2025, three Chinese home appliance giants, Haier, Midea, and Hisense, have announced new investment plans in Thailand to further expand their presence in the Southeast Asian market. Haier plans to invest 10 billion Thai baht to expand production of #refrigerators, washing machines, and commercial air conditioners. Midea plans to invest 2.26 billion Thai baht to build a commercial air conditioning factory in Rayong, with a target to increase air conditioner sales by 200% by 2025. Hisense will launch its first #air #conditioning factory in 2025 and expand its refrigerator and washing machine production bases to strengthen its market competitiveness.
With these investments by major Chinese home appliance brands, more Chinese companies may choose to set up production bases in Thailand. Thailand's strategic location, vast market potential, and export growth prospects make it an important part of Chinese companies' global expansion plans.
